Network Fundamentals

Course Overview:

This course gives students a fundamental introduction to computer networks. Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), wireless devices, routers, switches, and communication protocols will be introduced and evaluated. This course prepares students for exams such as the Microsoft Technology Associate: Networking Fundamentals certification exam.

Course Reflection:

This class gives an understanding of networking and massive amount of definitions, acronyms and protocols related to the networking processes. The class also allowed for some good hands on practices. This course properly prepared me for the MTA 98-366 Certificate Exam in which I easily passed. I learned a lot of new information and had fun doing so. I now have the confidence to set up and figure out networking errors with VLAN, Routers, Switches, VLAN’s, WLAN’s, WAN’s, etc.

I am thankful I took this class as I know it has better prepared me for my IT future.
